MR.
EUGENE C. ENLOW, ESQ. Chair
Mr. Enlow was appointed to the Kean University
Board of Trustees in September 2001. Since 1987,
he has been chair and CEO of Atlantic Detroit
Diesel-Allison, which is among the top 100
private companies in New Jersey with revenues of
$150 million and more than 350 employees. Prior
to assuming his current position, Mr. Enlow
served the company in various engineering,
financing, sales and legal-management capacities
from 1964 to 1966 and again from 1970 to 1981.
Before rejoining Atlantic Detroit Diesel Allison
in 1987, Mr. Enlow was president of Penske GM
Power.
Mr. Enlow graduated from Indiana University
Law School with a J.D. in 1968. He is a member of
the Indiana Bar Association; the American Bar
Association; the Board of Directors of the New
Jersey Motor Truck Association; the New Jersey
State Chamber of Commerce Transportation
Committee; the Board of Directors of Clarke
Detroit Diesel-Allison, Inc.; former president
and board member of Metropolitan Equipment
Dealers Association; and chair of the North
American Distributor Council. Mr. Enlow is a
contributor, fund-raiser and speaker for various
organizations, including Junior Achievement and
the Optimist Club.
From 1968 to 1969, Mr. Enlow served in the
legal office of the Staff Judge Advocate's Office
at Fort Rucker, Ala. He received a Bronze Star
and an Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf
Cluster for his service as captain in the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam from 1969 to
1970.
