Trustee

Mr. Aron was appointed to the Kean University Board of Trustees effective July 1, 2000. Mr. Aron is a partner with the law firm of Sills Cummis Radin Tischman Epstein & Gross, located in Newark. He is co-chair of the employment and labor department at his firm and has an extensive background in public education issues. He represents approximately three dozen school districts in New Jersey as general counsel and special labor counsel. He also represents several public and private universities and colleges as well as various corporations in labor and employment matters.

Mr. Aron is a member of the Board of the New Jersey Institute for School Innovation; the Statewide Advisory Committee of Rutgers' School of Management and Labor Relations; the Statewide Lawyers' Advisory Committee at Rutgers Law School; and the American and the New Jersey Bar Associations. He is also an adjunct professor in Seton Hall University's Executive E.D.D. Program. Mr. Aron received his undergraduate degree from the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He resides in Livingston.
