About Us - International Student Services
The Office of International Student Services, a division of the Center for Academic Success, is responsible for International Students activities with respect to immigration status, finances, and social interactions.
Our mission is to ensure International Students and their dependents maximum opportunity for a positive experience during their stay in the United States.
Lilliam Hodge-Banner – Assistant Director of International Student Services
Ms. Banner is the Assistant Director of the International Student Services. She received her Masters Degree in Community Counseling Psychology and a Certificate in Child and Spouse Abuse from Andrews University. Ms. Banner has extensive prior experience in the area of student services. She has worked at both Kean University and Cumberland County College as an academic and multi-cultural advisor. During that time, Ms. Banner developed a course titled, “How to Become a U.S. Citizen”. Her knowledge of student services, academic advising and international immigration law assist in her ability to provide students with comprehensive services.
Anna Nieves - Office Manager of International Student Services
Ms. Nieves is a full-time Bilingual Secretary and Office Manager at the Office of International Student Services. She has over 14 years of experience in Office Administration and Customer Service. Her patience, positive energy, and the ability to assist students demonstrate Kean University's empowering staff.

Office Hours and Location
The Office of International Student Services is located in CAS Room 121. If you would like to meet with the Assistant Director, Mrs. Lilliam Hodge-Banner, you must schedule an appointment by calling (908) 737-0350. Appointments are available Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
