College of Natural, Applied & Health Sciences
The University’s motto, Semper Discens (Always Learning) as emblazoned on its seal, embodies the goal of the College of Natural, Applied and Health Sciences. The College’s exceptional programs prepare students for distinguished careers in the sciences. Our nationally-renown faculty provide students with an outstanding education that values the critical thinking and creativity necessary to adapt to changing social, economic, and technological conditions. Collaboration with major corporations in the healthcare and technology sectors is integral part of the College's outreach mission. These partnerships enable the College to provide valuable services to the community and create exciting opportunities for our student’s professional and intellectual development.
CNAHS faculty have been awarded over $2 million in new grants since Fall 2009. These include the prestigious Merck/AAAS Undergraduate Science Research Program from the Merck Institute for Science Education, five National Science Foundation (NSF) grants, and four National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants.
