Entrance and Exit Loan Counseling
All students who receive loans are required to complete entrance
counseling before any funds may be disbursed. This can be done on line at https://studentloans.gov for the Direct Stafford
loan(s). Students who are awarded a Perkins Loan will receive an Entrance
Interview form in the mail from the university which must be completed and
returned to the Office of Financial Aid.
When student loan borrowers are no longer attending school at
least half time they are required to complete exit counseling. This can be done
on line at https://www.nslds.ed.gov. Students who do not
comply with this requirement will be placed on a financial aid hold restricting
the student from receiving grades, transcripts, and/or diplomas. The Perkins
Loan Exit Interview needs to be done at the Student Accounting Office.
If you
are a student borrowing for the first time, you also must complete the
Master Promissary Note online at Master Promissory
Note
