The Lecturer will provide English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction in all skills necessary for acquiring English: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The instruction will be for the international ESL program, an intensive, strategy-based program that ensures students will make timely progression in the English language through the context of understanding American culture.
This is a ten-month, full-time, non-tenure track position that may be renewed on an annual basis. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. This position is based at the International Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It requires a flexible schedule as expected for an assignment abroad.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level required. Preferred qualifications include: A Master’s degree in TESOL, TEFL or Applied Linguistics; ESL teaching experience; and knowledge of second language acquisition.
