Master of Science in Exercise Science

The Master of Science in Exercise Science is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to function as exercise specialists, technicians, strength coaches, and personal and athletic trainers. The program will prepare graduate students to work as professionals in corporations, wellness centers, hospitals, sports-medicine centers, amateur and professional athletics, health clubs, resorts and spas, colleges, universities, school districts, as well as community associations such as the YMCA and YWCA and rehabilitation centers. More specifically, the program will provide students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to function as exercise specialists, technicians, strength coaches, and personal and athletic trainers. For individuals already employed in these professional areas, this course of study will enhance their ability to advance to such positions as coordinators and/or directors and head athletic trainers.

In addition to the University's admission requirements:
Baccalaureate degree with a cumulative grade point average (GPA of 3.0 from all college attended. Lower GPA's may be accepted with appropriate experience.

GRE (Graduate Record Exam) scores
Departmental interview
Two letters of reference
