Scheduling Guide

Kean University has several locations on campus that can be reserved for conferences, meetings, seminars, etc. To contact the appropriate department, please review the facilities scheduling guide below.

University Center

The facility has a large Multi-purpose Lounge which can seat up to 178 occupants lecture style. There are four meeting rooms where the divider can be removed to make two larger rooms. There are also three small conference rooms which can seat up to eight occupants. The Little Theatre, Pre-Function Lobby, Greek Lounge and Blue Room are also available. Reservations for this building are only taken on a semester by semester basis and priority is given to student groups.

*Any requests for the University Center Atrium must be approved by the University Center Director. Reservations can be made through University Center Reservation Services (908) 737-5200, with exception of the Little Theater where reservations can be made through Theatre Management and Programming Office (908) 737-4350 and Greek Lounge reservations can be made through the Center for Leadership and Service (908) 737-5170.

Downs Hall

Downs Hall is a very popular area that can be reserved for large conferences, receptions, banquets and small meetings. It contains two large dining rooms that can seat up to 170 occupants. The dining rooms can be reserved as one large area or divided with collapsible partitions. Contact University Center Reservation Services (908) 737-5200 to schedule this area. The Patio area of Downs Hall can accomodate 457 occupants and can be scheduled by the President's Office (908) 737-7000.

Kean Hall

Kean Hall is a historical masterpiece on campus. It has one large conference room which can accommodate 128 occupants lecture style. It can be reserved for conferences, lectures, meetings, receptions, etc. It also has three small conference rooms which have an occupancy level of 8, 13, and 16. Reservations can be made through the President's Office (908) 737-7000.

Wilkins Theatre

Our largest facility has a seating capacity of 956. It can be reserved for theatrical event, lectures and concerts . Call Theatre Management and Programming Office (908) 737-4350 for availability.

Center for Academic Success

The Center for Academic Success (CAS) is a cornerstone of Kean University's commitment to opportunity. It has three small conference rooms which can be combined into one large room. Call the Center for Academic Success (908) 737-0300 for availability. It also has three conference rooms which can accommodate 18. To reserve these rooms call (908) 737-0433.

Harwood Arena & Alumni Stadium

The Harwood Arena is made up of three basketball courts with bleacher seating for 2,500 spectators, a 750-foot-long track surrounding the courts in second-story height. The Alumni Stadium has a football field and track. To reserve these facilities, call (908) 737-0604.
