School Nurse Certificate Program
The School Nurse Certificate Program is post-baccalaureate or graduate study program co-coordinated with the Department of Nursing. Completion of this program, approved by the New Jersey State Department of Education, meets the requirements for the Educational Services Certificate Endorsement as a Certified School Nurse. This endorsement authorizes the holder to perform nursing services and to teach in areas related to health in public schools in grades preschool through 12. (NJDED Administrative Code title 6A; Chapter 9-13.3). Students must hold current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse, and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. To be considered for admission into this program, a student must have an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 and be admitted to the program through the Department of Nursing.
