Designed to enable students to achieve a ready comprehension of spoken Spanish, enhancing their appreciation of the language and the cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. After completion of the two semesters, students will have the ability to communicate in simple sentences in Spanish and will obtain considerable ease in understanding and reading the language. Language laboratory required. Not open to native speakers of Spanish.
