Winter Break 2012

WINTER BREAK 2012 registration

due dates and payment options

Students registering through December 2, 2011
Payment due December 2, 2011

*Students registering after December 2,  2011
Payment due same day

Students registering October 25, 2011 – December 2, 2011 will be sent a tuition and fee bill starting on or about November 8, 2011. Full payment will be due December 2, 2011 for students registering through December 2, 2011. If full payment is not received by the due date, your schedule will be subject to forfeiture.

Any students who register after December 2, 2011 will NOT be sent a tuition and fees bill. Payment is due on the day of registration. Students can view their charges on KeanWISE at the time of registration and are advised to print a copy of their bill through the KeanWISE link on the Kean website. If full payment is not received on the day of registration, your schedule will be subject to forfeiture.

If you mail your check after the due date and it results in forfeiture of your schedule, the University will not be responsible for the forfeiture of your class. Once your schedule has been forfeited, you are responsible to re-register even if we have your payment. Any student whose schedule is forfeited and who re-registers at a later date will be assessed a Re-Registration Fee of $100.00.

IMPORTANT: Payment must be received by the due date to avoid possible forfeiture of your schedule. Provided the Student Accounting Office receives full payment or appropriate funding information by the due date, you are eligible to attend classes. You will receive no other schedule or receipt. Students who do not make full payment or provide appropriate funding information by the due date may have their schedule forfeited. In the event your schedule gets forfeited, a forfeiture notice will be e-mailed to your Kean email address. Any student whose schedule is forfeited and who re-registers at a later date will be assessed a Re-Registration fee of $100.00.

The Student Accounting Office strongly recommends that students do not mail paper checks after the due date. Please make you payment electronically through KeanWISE. If you mail your check after the due date and it results in forfeiture of your schedule, the University will not be responsible for the forfeiture of your class. Once your schedule has been forfeited, you are responsible to re-register even if we have your payment. If you do not re-register, your payment will be refunded once the registration period is over.

PAYMENT METHODS

Beginning in the Fall 2011 semester, the Office of Student Financial Services will continue its move toward paperless operations. This transition will allow students to receive and view bills electronically and to pay online using multiple forms of payment.

The following payment methods are accepted in person at the Office of Student Accounting during regular business hours: Cash, Debit Card, Credit Card, Personal checks, Cashier Checks, or Money Orders. Checks or money orders should be payable to Kean University. Please do not mail cash.

Postdated checks or checks made out incorrectly will be returned and may result in forfeiture of your schedule. The University is not responsible for delays in either inter-office or federal mails so allow enough time for delivery. We will not be responsible for holding schedules for a payment received after the payment deadline. The Student Accounting Office strongly recommends that students do not mail paper checks after the due date. Please log on to the student menu on KeanWISE and click on the Winter 2012 Tuition and Fees (Make a Payment) link under the Financial Information heading to make you payment. The cost for paying the bill online will be 2.54% for credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), paid by the student. Personal checks may be tendered online via KeanWise, at no cost to the payer.

If you mail your check after the due date and it results in forfeiture of your schedule, the University will not be responsible for the forfeiture of your class. Once your schedule has been forfeited, you are responsible to re-register even if we have your payment. If you do not re-register, your payment will be refunded once the registration period is over.
