The Office of University Relations serves the Kean community
in a variety of ways, all dedicated to the effective and accurate communication
of the University's message to its surrounding constituencies.
With responsibilities that include media relations, advertising, special
events, promotions, sports information, maintenance of the Kean Web
site and the creation and distribution of publications such as the
Administrative Report, the President's Annual Report and the Kean
Magazine, the Office of University Relations fulfills its objectives
through a wide array of programs and services.
The Office of University Relations has proudly sponsored World of Wonder,
a weekly educational section of The Star-Ledger, since its debut on March
12, 2000. World of Wonder is devoted to exploring history, science, nature
and technology in a colorful format, written in an easy-to-read style. Many
teachers have incorporated World of Wonder into their curriculum, calling
it a fun and interesting way to teach children to read. They also note its
effectiveness in showing children that the newspaper is an excellent source
of information. Additionally, University Relations is the sponsor of The
Star-Ledger's educational series, Crossroads of Revolution.
The Office of University Relations has earned the prestigious ACE
award,
five New Jersey Advertising Club awards, six JASPER awards, the
Video/Audio Sales Promotion Award from the New Jersey Communications
Advertising and Marketing Association, three Admissions Advertising
awards, two PRSA awards, two ADCNJ awards and an award of distinction
from the 30th Creative Annual Magazine. |
