Women's Studies at Kean University consists of an interdisciplinary community of faculty and students from a variety of departments and programs. Any student can take one of the many Women's Studies courses, and all are welcome to attend the guest lectures, film festivals, student presentations, poetry and other social gatherings hosted by Women's Studies.
Students can concentrate in Women’s Studies by taking an 18 credit interdisciplinary minor in conjunction with any major academic degree program. Graduates with a Women’s Studies background are well prepared for graduate school or the professional world because they possess critical thinking and analytical skills, and a gendered-oriented perspective to social problems.
