Overview
The Admissions Office for undergraduate students identifies, recruits, admits and enrolls students who demonstrate the highest probability for persistence, academic success and graduation from Kean University.

Each applicant is considered carefully based on the following:
    Secondary-school academic and personal records
    SAT or ACT scores
    Potential as a university student
Freshman are admitted for the fall and spring semesters; the University expects that all applicants offered admission register for study in the semester immediately following acceptance.
 
Tour our Campus
Applicants should plan to visit the University for a tour. Excepting holidays, tours are scheduled as follows:
September through April: Fridays at 10 a.m.
May through July: Thursdays at 10 a.m.

Application Deadlines and Instructions
    Spring Semester: December 1
    Fall semester: May 31
     
    1. Complete the Undergraduate Application and send it to the Office of Admissions, with the $50 non-refundable processing fee or waiver request. Do not send cash.
    2. Submit your SAT or ACT scores (the College Board number for Kean University is 2517. The ACT code number is 2582).
    3. Submit an official copy of your high school transcript. All offers of admissions for freshmen are contingent upon the receipt of an official final high school or G.E.D. transcript that shows the date of graduation.
    4. Your high school transcript must show at least 16 completed college preparatory units in the following subjects:
      a. English - 4
b. Social Studies - 2
c. Science (laboratory) - 2
d. Mathematics - 3
Applicants who do not meet these requirements may receive consideration under one of our alternate admissions programs.
5. Post-baccalaureate (PBM) and Teacher Certification applicants are required to submit official transcripts from all colleges previously attended.
6. Applicants 25 years of age or older, with little or no college background and no SATs, will be considered through the EPIC Program as part-time students (see our alternate admissions program page for more information.
