Kean University Graduation Incentive Program

Kean University is committed to helping you earn your bachelor’s degree in four years!

The Graduation Incentive Program will assist our world-class students who are just short of meeting their four-year graduation goal, by allowing them the summer to complete it with an incentive award of $1,000. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Students must have started as Kean University freshmen in Fall 2014, and been consistent in their enrollment for 8 consecutive semesters as of May 2018
  • Students must be making satisfactory academic progress by May 2018, as per University guidelines
  • Students admitted in Winter, Spring or Summer I or II and transfer students are NOT eligible 
  • Final summer enrollment must be taken at Kean University

Awards will be granted following the conclusion of Summer 2018, upon completion of all degree requirements and conferral.

By taking one class during Kean’s 2018 Winter Session, from January 2–12, 2018, you can earn 3 credits in 10 days, and potentially earn money back after graduation!

Classes for Winter 2018 are still open, with Registration ongoing until January 2.

  • Print and complete Degree Application
  • Review your degree requirements with a Faculty Advisor in your Major Department if you haven’t done so already.
  • Fill out your Curriculum Guide Sheet in ink; be sure it is the correct one for your particular major and catalog year. Obtain the signature of Major Department Chairperson or Executive Director. (Click here for Sample Curriculum Guide Sheet)
  • Complete, if applicable, second major/academic content area/minor/collateral guide sheet with the signature of the Department Chairperson or Executive Director (academic content areas are for Education students only).
  • Pay the required graduation fee ($100.00) at the Student Accounting Office and attach your receipt to your application
  • Submit your completed application to the Office of the Registrar (Administration Building 1st Floor) by the published deadline.
