Temporary Lecturer (Two Positions) Spring 2015

Kean University also operates a unique, additional location in Wenzhou-China, where development of a full-scale campus is currently underway.

A Lecturer is a full-time employee who teaches 30 credits per academic year and provides student and learning support services during the assigned periods. The Lecturer holds a strong commitment to teaching; maintains office and advising hours for students; actively participates in the university community; and does related work as required. Positions are one semester, temporary appointments effective January 5, 2015. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Courses may be taught at the Union campus and/or the Ocean County College campus in Toms River, New Jersey or other locations as indicated below.

Nursing – to assume teaching responsibilities for both didactic and clinical areas, as well as academic and career advisement in the RN-BSN program at our Union and Ocean sites.  

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field; current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey or the equivalent; and a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. An earned research doctorate in Nursing or a related field (or dissertation phase) in nursing from an accredited program; experience as a nursing educator; and current clinical experience is preferred.
