The programs in the earth sciences are designed to prepare the student for careers and/or graduate study in various areas of geology, meteorology, oceanography, and environmental science. In addition programs for teacher certification in earth science and elementary education with an earth science specialization are offered. Collateral studies in environmental and marine sciences may be elected with the Earth Science major.
