Students who successfully complete this program are eligible for national certification in medical technology. The program is affiliated with the Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center, Jersey Shore Medical Center, Morristown Memorial Hospital, and The Valley Hospital. The medical technologist is a professional member of the health care team who participates in diagnosis of disease through the use of sophisticated instruments and techniques and trains other laboratory workers. Medical technologists are needed to fill positions in hospitals, clinics and research laboratories.
