ASSOCIATE DEAN

Kean, a comprehensive New Jersey state university, is seeking an Associate Dean for its extension program in Wenzhou, China. Launched in 2012, the program is offered at a newly opened campus that upon completion will enroll ten thousand students in both undergraduate and graduate programs. The position of Associate Dean in the College of Business and Public Management is located in Wenzhou, China.

Under the direction of the Dean, the Associate Dean assists in the general administration of all academic aspects of the College. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Dean from the Union, NJ campus in the development of degree programs, as well as faculty and student success; implementing strategies, procedures and metrics for the recruitment, admission, advisement and enrollment of students in the College of Business and Public Management in Wenzhou; assisting with the recruitment and evaluation processes for full-time and adjunct faculty; assisting in the planning of course offerings for the regular semesters and the winter/summer sessions; and performing related work as required.

Qualifications: Doctorate degree from an AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited program or combination of experience in an academic or professional field related to the disciplines within the college and a minimum of four years of progressive experience in a higher education environment combining academic instruction and administration or the equivalent as determined by the university. The successful candidate will have professional work experience outside of the United States; demonstrated leadership skills; strong customer service orientation; the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
