ORSP maintains information on summer research opportunities for undergraduates. Several sites allow customized searches and some have common applications. See links below for three recommended sites.

The Big Ten Academic Alliance Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) offers a common application to programs at Big Ten universities including Rutgers, the University of Maryland, Pennsylvania State, and Ohio State. If you are an enrolled undergraduate student with an interest in pursuing a Ph.D., have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, are a citizen or permanent resident, and have completed at least two semesters, you can apply to a variety of summer research opportunities using a single online application. All expenses paid plus a stipend. Housing and transportation included.

The National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program. In addition to science, disciplines supported by NSF include Psychology, Sociology, Political Science and Economics.
