SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION
The Support Services Division is responsible for all Department support and staff activities. This Division is distinguished from the Operations Division by the fact that its clients are, primarily, the Department itself rather than members of the University community or the public and that its members are not sworn law enforcement officers.

The primary function of this Bureau is to receive and relay requests for service from the public to the individual, Unit, Bureau, Division or University Department responsible for satisfaction of the request. This Bureau also responds to requests for data and information from members of the Department. Members of this Bureau document, chronologically, all activities of the Operations Division. The Communications Bureau is staffed on a 24-hour per day basis by Public Safety Telecommunicators (PSTs) who are New Jersey State Certified Emergency Communications Officers/Emergency Medical Dispatchers, and operates the Department's state of the art 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center.
