Premiere Stages is currently accepting submissions for the
2013/2014 Liberty Live Competition
In 2012 Premiere Stages launched Liberty Live, a new commissioning initiative as part of the Premiere Stages Play Festival. On a bi-annual cycle Premiere Stages will commission a New Jersey
playwright to write a script focusing specifically on New Jersey History. The winning commission of the inaugural Liberty Live resulted in the production of EM Lewis’ Talking to Westfield
in December 2012. The 2013/2014 Liberty Live will focus on the 350th Anniversary of the founding of New Jersey and the City of Elizabeth and be part of the NJ 350. Submissions are open April 15–June 15. For submission guidelines click here!
