Union, Kean University's New Soap Opera
Renowned network director AC Weary and veteran soap writer Louisa Burns-Bisogno have partnered with Kean University to launch Union, a new soap opera to be written by and for Kean students.
In addition to the carefully-chosen cast of talented students, award-winning professional actors will serve as special guest artists on the project. Guest artists who have signed on as part of the show include acclaimed television designer Rick Dennis and Emmy Award-winning actor Kim Zimmer, who stars as Reva on Guiding Light.
Union, Kean University’s new dramatic television drama, provides a powerful and poignant look into a diverse campus community, where students and the adults who influence them prove to be people living on the edge. Like most “Soap Operas”, good versus evil, lust and betrayal, and truth and secrecy are the forces at work.
The nexus is the Union Bar and Grill. The Bar is a safe-haven, a hideout, a battlefield, but, most importantly, a crossroads where characters come in search of love and power.
