Hes just a kid whos four, but now hes also the star of his first live, full-length musical production. That beloved and curious cartoon pre-school child, Caillou, stars in Caillous Big Party on Friday, October 17, at 7 p.m. in Kean Universitys Wilkins Theatre at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J. Caillous Big Party is an all-new musical romp with Caillou and all his friends from his popular television and book series. Theres nothing more fun than a party, and Caillou cant wait for all his guests to come and play. But just what kind of party will Caillou have? As his friends arrive for the festivities, they each share their ideas on what makes the best kind of party. The audience joins in on the fun, and even Gilbert, Caillous pet cat, gets a chance to let everyone know about his ideas for a terrific time. Imaginations go crazy with exciting and colourful party dreams, but one thing is certain parties are fun, but the most fun is sharing time with friends. At present, 40 Caillou episodes currently air on PBS KIDS daily. Caillou is seen by close to 97 percent of U.S. households and is viewed by almost 7 million viewers each week. Through the eyes of this inquisitive four-year-old, childrens imaginations are captured as the show creatively addresses the real problems and conflicts typical to a young childs development. Tickets are $15 for the public; $11 for seniors; and $9 for children and students.
