Kean University Workshops
Help Job Seekers Take Charge of Their Career
UNION, N.J. Kean Universitys Department of Continuing and
Professional Education will present two workshops aimed at helping job
seekers build résumé-writing skills and interview techniques.
The seminars will be held on Saturday, April 12, and Saturday, April 26,
from 10 a.m. to noon in Hutchinson Hall, Room 143, 1000 Morris Avenue,
Union, N.J.
Make Your Résumé and Cover Letter Work for You,
will be held on Saturday, April 12. The mechanics of writing an effective
résumé and cover letter, as a means of balancing marketability
with accuracy, will be reviewed. Participants will become familiar with
helpful editing practices, layout strategies and skills for building an
electronic résumé.
Participants who attend Developing Confidence for the Job Interview
on Saturday, April 26, will learn techniques for preparing for an interview,
tips for conducting preliminary research, the importance of networking
and other valuable interviewing skills.
The fee for each workshop is $23, and both are open to the public.
