Kean University President Dr. Dawood Farahi to Share His
Vision for the Future In Opening Day Address on September 2

UNION, N.J. – Kean University’s 17th president, Dr. Dawood Farahi, will meet with new freshmen, returning students, faculty, staff and administrators, when they arrive for Kean University’s Opening Day Address on Tuesday, September 2, at 2 p.m. in Wilkins Theatre on the University’s main campus at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J. In his speech, Farahi will share his vision for the future of the institution and emphasize numerous developments, such as new degrees that can be obtained at the lowest tuition among New Jersey’s universities.

New Student Orientation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the University Center and other locations to be announced. Adult Student Orientation will be given from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the University Center, Room 226 A and B. Graduate Student Orientation for the steadily increasing number of students in Kean’s Nathan Weiss Graduate College, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the University Center Little Theatre and University Center, Room 228.

Classes will begin on Thursday, September 4.
