Inaugural Parents Day Set for October 4 UNION, N.J. Kean University will host its inaugural Parents Day on Saturday, October 4, at the Universitys main campus, at 1000 Morris Avenue, in Union, N.J. Events will also take place at Keans East Campus, at 215 North Avenue, in Hillside, N.J. Students, families and friends, as well as faculty, administrators and staff, are invited to join in the University-wide festivities. Registration and continental breakfast will commence the days events at 9:30 a.m. in Wilkins Theatre on the main campus, followed by a welcome address by Kean President Dr. Dawood Farahi. The day will continue with a series of fun-filled activities including a scavenger hunt; miniature golf; barbecue; sporting events; seminars and workshops; campus tours and great entertainment. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet some of the Universitys deans, faculty, administration and staff, while learning first-hand all that Kean University has to offer. At 1 p.m. Keans football team will play against William Paterson University at Alumni Stadium on the main campus, and Keans womens soccer team will oppose The College of New Jersey at the East Campus. In addition, a cabaret-style performance will begin at 3 p.m., followed by a comedy show at 4 p.m. The evening will conclude with a concert by Bering Strait, which begins at 8 p.m. All three shows will be held in Wilkins Theatre.
