Kean University Offers Workshop for Starting Businesses

UNION, N.J. – The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a free seminar titled Legal Aspects of Forming a Business on Friday, March 7, 2003, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Education Center, 209 West 2nd Street, Plainfield, N.J.

The workshop, conducted by Richard Weller, Esq., of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith, Ravin, Davis & Himmel, LLP, of Woodbridge, N.J., will address the numerous laws that affect the formation of a business. It will help attendees to understand how to select, set up and document various business entities including sole proprietorships, general partnerships, limited-liability companies and professional-service corporations.

The seminar is co-sponsored by the United Trust Bank in Plainfield, N.J. Special arrangements for people with disabilities can be made upon request. Be sure to bring business cards and brochures for networking purposes.
