Kean University Seminar
Will Solve Mysteries of International Trade
UNION, N.J. The Small Business Development Center of Kean University
will present a workshop titled De-mystifying International Trade,
on Tuesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at the schools East Campus,
Room 117, 215 North Avenue, Hillside, N.J.
Roger S. Cohen, president of Cohen International of Old Tappan, N.J.,
and lead international-trade consultant for the New Jersey Small Business
Development Center, will conduct the seminar, which is designed to help
determine if entering international markets, either as a buyer or a seller,
is the right move for a company.
The workshop will focus on such topics as exporting and importing; market
research and planning; methods of receiving payment, such as letters of
credit; international trade resources, including financing programs; and
freight forwarding and customs brokerage.
There is a fee of $15 per person or $20 for two, which includes literature
and refreshments. Special arrangements for people with disabilities can
be made upon request. Be sure to bring business cards and brochures for
networking purposes.
