Offers Workshop on Developing a Business Plan
UNION, N.J. If you would like to learn the basics of constructing
a solid business plan, attend a seminar titled Writing and Financing
Your Business Plan, offered by the Small Business Development
Center of Kean University. The workshop will be held on Wednesday,
January 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the schools East Campus,
Room 158A, 215 North Avenue, Hillside, N.J.
Gary Grandstaff, tri-state regional business consultant and vice
president for the Business Resource Center at J.P. Morgan-Chase,
will discuss the narrative and financial portions of a business
plan, including marketing, industry trends and risks, competition,
conducting research and making financial projections. He will also
entertain questions from attendees.
The seminar is co-sponsored by the Union County Division of Cultural
and Heritage Affairs, Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders,
New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and the New Jersey Historical
Commission. There is a fee of $15 per person or $20 for two. Special
arrangements for people with disabilities can be made upon request.
The fee includes coffee and danish. Be sure to bring business cards
and brochures for networking purposes.
