Kean University Offers Workshop on Developing a Winning Web Site

UNION, N.J. – The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a workshop titled Developing a Winning Web Site on Thursday, April 10, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the University’s East Campus, Room 158 A, 215 North Avenue, Hillside, N.J.

This workshop, conducted by Nat Bender, director of E-Business Services for the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers, will explain how to move from strategic planning to implementation of a Web site. He will point out good Web-site-design features, examine the industry’s best practices to make sure that a Web site is up to standards (or a step ahead), and discuss the pros and cons of affiliate marketing of related businesses on a Web site. Bender will also demonstrate how to conduct informal usability testing before an official Web-site launch to make sure customers can find, use and make that all-important purchase from a site. The session will end with an overview explaining how to self-test then apply user feedback to make sure a site will meet objectives.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Kean University Division of Continuing and Professional Education. There is a $15 fee per person or $20 for two.
