Kean University Offers Workshop on Researching the Internet for Small Businesses

UNION, N.J. – The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a workshop titled Research and Reconnaissance on the Net on Friday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon on the University’s East Campus, Room 158 A, 215 North Avenue, Hillside, N.J.

The workshop, conducted by Roger S. Cohen, president of Cohen International in Old Tappan, N.J., will explain how the Internet can be used as a valuable resource for market intelligence and competitive information. In this interactive seminar, business owners will learn how to mine the Net for business information that can actually be utilized. Among the topics, Cohen will discuss how to find local information, which search engines work best, the difference between pay and free sites, and how to utilize the information in business. He will provide examples of several actual projects and the results he obtained using the "Cohen Method."

There is a $15 fee per person or $20 for two.
