Kean University Offers Workshop on SBA’s Contracting Programs
UNION, N.J. – The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a free workshop titled SBA’s (Small Business Administration) Government Contracting Programs, on Thursday, July 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Elizabeth Public Library Auditorium, 11 S. Broad Street, Elizabeth, N.J.
Conducted by Rich Zilg, assistant district director for Minority Enterprise Development, U.S. SBA, in Newark, N.J., this workshop will provide an in-depth description of the SBA 8(a) Business Development, Small Disadvantaged Business and HUBZone programs. All aspects of benefits, eligibility and applying for the programs, as well as SBA’s other federal government contracting-assistance programs for small business, will be discussed.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce and the Union County Economic Development Corp. Special arrangements for people with disabilities can be made upon request. Be sure to bring business cards and brochures for networking purposes.
