T. Felder Dorn of Millburn, N.J., Receives Dean Emeritus Designation

UNION, N.J. – The Board of Trustees of Kean University has bestowed dean emeritus designation upon Dr. T. Felder Dorn of Millburn, N.J.
During his 28-year tenure at Kean University, Dorn served as associate dean, acting dean and dean of the School of Arts and Sciences and vice president for Academic Affairs. Before he retired in 2001, he was a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics for 11 years.
Dorn was instrumental in inaugurating several programs while he was the
acting dean. They include Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; Bachelor
of Science in medical record administration; Bachelor of Science in accounting;
Master of Public Administration; and Master of Science in Management Systems
Analysis.
He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Washington and
earned his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Duke University.
In addition to having authored several articles for professional journals,
Dorn has written two nonfiction books. He most recently received praise
for his true-crime book, The Guns of Meeting Street: A Southern Tragedy,
published by Columbia, South Carolina Press, 2001.
