Kean University Seminar Will
Solve Mysteries of International Trade
UNION, N.J. The Small Business Development Center of Kean University
will present a free workshop titled Demystifying International Trade,
on Thursday, March 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Elizabeth Public
Library, 11 S. Broad Street, Elizabeth, N.J.
Roger S. Cohen, president of Cohen International of Old Tappan, N.J.,
and lead international-trade consultant for the New Jersey Small Business
Development Center, will conduct the seminar, which is designed to help
determine if entering international markets either as a buyer or a seller,
is the right move for a company. This workshop, which is co-sponsored
by the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce and the Union County Economic
Development Corp., will focus on such topics as exporting and importing;
market research and planning; international-trade resources, including
financing programs; and freight forwarding and customs brokerage.
Special arrangements for people with disabilities can be made upon request.
