Kean University Offers Workshop on Legal Aspects of Starting a Business
UNION, N.J. – – – The Small Business Development Center
of Kean University will present a seminar, titled Legal Aspects of
Forming a Business, on Tuesday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at
the school’s East Campus, Room 158 A, 215 North Avenue in Hillside,
N.J.
The workshop, conducted by Richard Weller, Esq., of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith,
Ravin, Davis & Himmel, LLP, in Woodbridge, N.J., will address the
many aspects to consider in forming a business and selecting an appropriate
business entity, as well as how to properly set up and document the various
entities. Topics will include sole proprietorships; general, limited and
limited-liability partnerships; limited-liability companies; and C and
S and professional-service corporations.
Special arrangements for people with disabilities can be made upon request.
There is a fee of $15 per person or $20 for two, which includes literature
and refreshments. Be sure to bring business cards and brochures for networking
purposes.
