Kean University Hosts Undergraduate Open House
UNION, N.J. – – The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Kean University will host a spring open house on Saturday, April 17, at noon in Wilkins Theatre, located on the school’s main campus at 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.
Designed to meet the needs and interests of high-school juniors, transfer applicants and their parents, this event will feature presentations held by the numerous academic departments, as well as a host of workshops on important topics such as financial aid, transfer services and the admissions process.
A reception and registration will commence the day’s activities at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Welcome Address from Kean President Dr. Dawood Farahi at noon, in Wilkins Theatre. Prospective students will then have an opportunity to meet with the deans and students of Kean’s four undergraduate colleges from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at several designated sites on campus. Furthermore, members of the faculty will be available throughout the day to provide information on the many outstanding academic degrees the University has to offer.
From 12:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the University Services Showcase will also be held in the University Center Atrium.
Additionally, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions student ambassadors will lead campus tours, providing insight and speaking of their own experiences at Kean, every 30 minutes from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the Office of Residence Life will provide tours of the residence halls every 30 minutes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
