Kean University Offers
Workshop on Building
and Financing Small Businesses
UNION, N.J. – –The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a free workshop, titled Building and Financing Your Business, on Wednesday, May 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Elizabeth Public Library Auditorium, 11 South Broad Street, Elizabeth, N.J.
The seminar, conducted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the New Jersey Small Business Development Center, is designed to provide individuals who are in business or thinking of starting a business with information on business-loan programs and technical-assistance programs offered by the SBA. Leading area bank-lending officers will also be available to discuss their role in the SBA’s Guaranteed Lending Program. Lenders will address what goes into a good loan proposal, how to increase the chances of getting a loan and how to get through the loan-application process.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the Elizabeth Public Library, the Greater Chamber of Commerce, and the Union County Economic Development Corporation.
