FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Technology in Education Summer Institute at Kean University UNION, N.J. Kean University will hold a Technology in Education Summer Institute for professional teachers and education graduate students from Tuesday, July 6 to Thursday, July 15. Experienced educators from Kean’s professional development schools and University faculty will offer instruction in the use of many technology practices and educational software programs such as Microsoft® Excel, iMovie, Inspiration® and Webquests. The focus will be on using these programs as tools that can be applied to any curriculum-content area at all grade levels. The institute is sponsored by the Teacher Quality Enhancement Consortium (TQEC) and Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) at Kean University. Classes meet 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the two weeks of the program in Willis Hall, Room 100, on Kean’s main campus. The institute may be taken for 45 professional-development hours or 3 graduate credits.
