Kean University Offers
Workshop on
Building and Financing Small Businesses
UNION, N.J. – The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a free workshop, titled Building and Financing Your Small Business, on Tuesday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Plainfield Public Library, located at 8th at Park Avenue in Plainfield, N.J.
The seminar, conducted by representatives of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and lending community, is designed to provide individuals who are in business or thinking of starting a business with information on business-loan programs and technical-assistance programs offered by the SBA. Leading area bank-lending officers will also be available to discuss their role in the SBA’s Guaranteed Lending Program. Lenders will address what goes into a good loan proposal, how to increase the chances of getting a loan and how to get through the loan-application process.
Following the presentation, representatives from the SBA, The Service
Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), the Small Business Development Center
(SBDC) and local lenders will be available for individual consultations.
