Kean University Hosts Second
Annual
Environmental Health and Safety Fair
UNION, N.J. –Kean University will host its Second
Annual Environmental Health and Safety Fair
on Thursday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Center,
1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J. The fair will increase the awareness
in topics such as health, safety, environmental issues, as well as educate
on fire safety.
Organizing this event is Sheryl M. Fornoff, environmental program specialist/health
and safety officer for the University. She is charged with keeping the
campus safe and in compliance with all state and federal environmental
regulations, as well as overseeing all the training required for the staff
of the Office of Facilities and Campus Planning.
Presenters include American Cancer Society; United States Department
of Transportation - Hazmat Safety; Disposal Consultant Services, Inc.;
Nuskin/Pharmanex; Dr. Monica Gonzalez Chiropractic;
NAETI – National Asbestos & Environmental Training Institute;

Association - New Jersey Chapter; Department of Nursing; Campus Police,
Department of Public Safety; New Jersey Chapter of American Society of
Safety Engineers; Schering Plough Corporation - Fire and Environmental
Health and Safety Officials; Sanford Brown Institute (Massage); Viking
Termite and Pest Control, Inc.; Haztek, Inc.; Kean University Cougar Care

“Having the opportunity to bring in all these agencies and groups
for such a large gathering of educational sources is a great opportunity
for the community to be educated and informed,” said Fornoff. “It
is my hope that this year’s event will be as great a success as
last year’s.”
