FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Kean University Offers
Small Business UNION, N.J. –The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will offer a certificate program, titled Small Business Start-Up Series 2005, from January 11 through February 16, at the school’s East Campus, Room 158 A, 215 North Avenue in Hillside, N.J. The series features six weekly seminars for aspiring business owners on a wide range of business topics. Immediately following the final workshop, participants who attended at least four of the workshops will be awarded a certificate of completion in recognition of their achievements. Small Business Start-Up Series 2005 Workshops Legal Aspects of Starting and Running a Small Business, Tuesday, January 11, 9 a.m. to noon Small Business Feasibility, Wednesday, January 19, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Accounting Needs for Start-Up Businesses, Wednesday, January 26, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Financing Your Small Business, Wednesday, February 2, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (Free program) Developing a Successful Business Plan, Wednesday, February 9, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tapping the Internet for Global Market Intelligence, Tuesday, February 15, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Co-sponsors of the program include ADP Small Business Services; U.S.
Small Business Administration; New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth
Commission and the UCEDC. With the exception of the free program on February
2, there is a fee of $15 per person or $20 for two for each session. Special
arrangements for people with disabilities can be made upon request. Be
sure to bring business cards and brochures for networking purposes.
