Bowfire Brings a Total Violin Experience to Kean

UNION, N.J. ––World-class violinists join forces with piano, bass, drums, guitar and cello to take the stage by storm in Bowfire on Friday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Kean University’s Wilkins Theatre, located at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.

Bowfire is a one-of-a-kind musical and theatrical experience which strings together one show-stopping hit after another in a fast-paced, theatrically staged production. Encompassing styles as diverse as classical, jazz, country, rock, old-time, Texas-style, bluegrass, Gypsy, eclectic, Celtic, and electric, the ensemble adds step and tap dance to create a feast for the eyes as well as for the ears. Led by acclaimed jazz violinist and artistic director Lenny Solomon, the Bowfire show has traveled around the world since 2000. The Houston Chronicle raved, “Bowfire blurred individual traditions in the fast-paced onslaught of top-flight playing. Everything I heard was slick, well-produced and well-played. Nothing was overdone. There was enough razzle-dazzle and variety to keep the audience entertained.”

Tickets are $25 for the general public; $21 for seniors; and $17 for children. Call 908-737-SHOW (7469) for more information or to make reservations. Black-and-white and color images are available upon request.
