Day of Healing for Your Body, Mind and Spirit

UNION, N.J. ––The Holistic Center for the Integration of Body, Mind and Spirit announces its spring Day of Healing on Friday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kean University Center, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J. Special, low-cost introductory rates and 10% combination discounts will be available for a number of one-on-one, 30- and 40-minute sessions of massage, reflexology, shiatsu, tandem-point therapy and Reiki. All treatments will be provided by certified, experienced practitioners.

Therapeutic full-body, Swedish, neuromuscular-therapy, sports-therapy and prenatal massage will be offered.

Reflexology is the gentle massaging of the feet's acupressure points that serve as mirrors to all organs of the body; aids in circulation and detoxification as well as muscular and nerve function.

Reiki is a holistic energy-therapy process that works with an individual’s body to open and balance the flow of energy and provides physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits.

Integrated-energy therapy clears energy blockages in the human energy field by triggering the release of suppressed emotions from the body's cellular memory; enhances body's ability to heal itself.

Shiatsu is an oriental massage technique in which finger pressure is used in specific points to ease aches, pains, tension fatigue and symptoms of disease.

Tandem-point Therapy integrates Western trigger-point and Chinese acupressure techniques to reduce muscle and joint pain, improving mobility; tender or painful pressure points are held in tandem to release tension and remove both acute and chronic pain.
