Kean University Offers
Workshop on
Selling to State and Federal Governments
UNION, N.J. ––The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will offer a free workshop, titled Selling to Federal and State Governments, on Wednesday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to noon at PNC Community Education Center, located at 209 West Second Street in Plainfield, N.J.
This workshop, conducted by Stephanie Burroughs, director of procurement programs for New Jersey Small Business Development Centers, will teach small-business owners the requirements, procedures and benefits of doing business with the government, including the federal- and state-certification programs. Federal programs include 8(a), SDB (Small Disadvantaged Business) and HUB Zone and CCR registration. The state certification programs include those for minority business enterprises and woman’s business enterprises. State registration programs include the Business Registration Certificate and Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
This seminar is co-sponsored by PNC Bank and the UCEDC. Special arrangements
