Seven Students in Kean University's Visual Communications Program
Win ADCNJ Statewide Competition

UNION, N.J. - The Art Directors Club of New Jersey (ADCNJ) recently awarded prizes to seven graduating students in Kean University's Visual Communications program under the leadership of Rose Gonnella, professor in the Department of Design.

These awards include three First Place winners.

Christopher Pinho of Union , N.J., placed first in the Creative Advertising category. Yingyos Charubusapayon of Bangkok, Thailand , who graduated in January but will return to the United States for Commencement, won First Place for Graphic Design; and Ryan Guijo of Edison , N.J., won the Smith Design Packaging Award, while Shon Chen of Edison , N.J., was the runner up.

In addition to winning these prestigious awards, Guijo and Chen will be graduating summa cum laude on May 10 at the ceremony held at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J.

The ADCNJ current and former presidents' awards went to Sergio Cueva of Belleville , N.J., Janine Toro of Edison , N.J., and Charles Martin of Union , N.J.
