Kean Universityís Graduate College to Host Open House
The Nathan Weiss Graduate College will host its annual spring open house on Sunday, March 2, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Center for Academic Success, located on the Universityís campus at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.
Prospective students will have the opportunity to speak with graduate faculty, including coordinators, from more than 50 different graduate programs, including doctoral degrees, professional diplomas, masterís degrees, post-masterís degrees and graduate certifications. Kean President Dawood Farahi, as well as the deans of Keanís five colleges, will also provide information on the many outstanding academic degrees that the University has to offer.
The open house will include a presentation on the topic of making graduate education affordable, at 1:30 p.m. in Wilkins Theatre. Speakers will address financial aid, scholarships and the graduate assistantship program.
A graduate student showcase will highlight the research and special projects currently being conducted by graduate students in different programs. These students will discuss their graduate programs and answer specific questions, thereby enabling prospective students to gain further insight into Keanís programs.
Furthermore, representatives will be available from a variety of University services, such as the Nancy Thompson Library, Kean University Child Care Center, EEO, Health Services, International Student Services, Counseling and Disability Services and Career Services.
Guests will also be invited to visit The Center for Academic Success Art Gallery, where they can view the stellar work of Japanese-American ceramic artist Toshiko Takaezu.
