Kean University Offers Workshop on Developing a Winning Business Plan for Small Businesses
UNION, N.J. – The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will offer a free workshop, entitled Developing a Winning Business Plan and Continuity Planning, on Wednesday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at PNC Bank, located at 202 Park Avenue in Plainfield, N.J. Ample parking is located behind the bank on West Second Street.
Charles D. Pulis, Jr. and Lisa Otto of Emerald Financial Resources in Bridgewater, N.J., will explain business continuity planning, including funding option analysis, buy-sell strategies and success planning, as well as insurance needs, including life and disability, health and key-man insurance.
Topics covered will include what investors and lenders look for, why business plans are necessary, executive summaries, management and personnel and marketing analysis strategy. They will also discuss location, cash flow projection, financial data, P&L and Balance sheets, and supporting documentation.
