Kean University Offers Workshop on Developing a Winning Business Plan
The Small Business Development Center of Kean University will present a free workshop, entitled Developing a Winning Business Plan, on Wednesday, October 22, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Business Resource Center, located on the second floor of the Department of Labor Building, at 200 West Second Street in Plainfield, N.J.
Fred Dominguez, assistant vice president of City National Bank of N.J. in Newark, and vice president of C&D Financial Consultants LTD, in Fairview, N.J., will discuss how to develop an effective business plan for planning purposes or for financing. He will focus on business continuity planning, including funding option analysis, buy-sell strategies, succession planning; and insurance needs, such as life and disability, health and key-man insurance. Topics covered will include what investors and lenders look for; the contents of a business plan, including the executive summary, management and personnel, marketing strategy and location; the financial data and supporting documentation.
