Kean University to Host Reading and Math Clinic for Grammar School Students
Kean University's Reading and Math Clinic will offer summer tutorial programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from June 28 through August 4. The reading program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, and the math program will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Open to students in grades kindergarten through 8, the program will evaluate the students' strengths and learning difficulties through reading and math tests. Remediation will then be based on these assessments. Taught by certified teachers, the clinic includes specialized instruction and computer-based reading and math activities that reinforce each lesson.
Parents can enroll their children in one or both of these programs. Discounts are available for those who register for both programs and for students of Kean University employees. Registration and deposits are required by Thursday, June 23. For further information, please contact Dr. Davida R. Schuman, clinic director, at 908.737.3934 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
